My Story

Real estate has been a lifelong passion for Eric Nygard. Long before entering the industry, he

spent countless hours following listings, studying the market, and learning everything he could

about property. An entrepreneur from an early age, Eric began launching service-based

businesses when he was just 10 years old—an early reflection of his drive to help others and

create lasting value.

Before becoming a REALTOR®, Eric built an accomplished career in finance, banking, business

development, and relationship management. Working with nationally recognized organizations,

he guided clients through important financial decisions and developed long-standing

professional partnerships. This experience sharpened his analytical and negotiating skills, while

reinforcing what he values most: understanding people, solving problems, and helping clients

move forward with confidence.

Today, Eric brings decades of sales, financial services, business development, and client

relationship experience to every real estate transaction. He understands that buying or selling a

home is about far more than contracts and negotiations. It requires careful listening, honest

advice, and a clear understanding of each client’s unique circumstances. His goal is never

simply to close a deal, but to help his clients make the right decision at the right time.

Outside of real estate, Eric enjoys making the most of British Columbia’s exceptional outdoor

lifestyle. Depending on the season, he can often be found hiking local trails, waterskiing on one

of the province’s beautiful lakes, or spending a winter day on the ski slopes. He is also an

enthusiastic traveller with a goal of visiting every continent. Having explored dozens of countries

across Europe, Asia, and North America, Eric credits travel with broadening his perspective and

deepening his appreciation for what it means to find a place that truly feels like home.

Above all, family is at the heart of Eric’s life. He treasures time spent with his “littles”—his

godchildren, nieces, and nephews—and the memories they create together. Giving back is

equally important to him, and he is proud to support BC Children’s Hospital through

philanthropic initiatives that bring exceptional care and hope to children and families throughout

the province.
